International Narcotics Affairs – Gender, Corrections, and Rule of Law Team (1 Intern)

The intern will be engaged in daily training assignments that involve performing duties and tasks as following:

  1. Conduct follow-up for data calls on the Dev Results gender dashboard development including mapping the number of women employed in various law enforcement and justice sector agencies.
  2. Collect and analyzing data related to the judiciary, corrections, and law enforcement sectors.
  3. Explore new and creative interventions to advance gender representation in the criminal justice sphere and increase efficiency of the criminal justice system in Pakistan via conversations with contacts and new potential partners to expand INL’s implementing organization options.
  4. Explore possibilities for INL interventions and environmentally friendly construction options in alignment with the Ambassador’s Green Alliance Framework.
  5. Provide logistic and organizational support for events and meetings. Take notes and draft readouts.
  6. Assist in ensuring INL-funded digital and technology-based platforms are interoperable. This could include brainstorming on next steps, engaging with partners and designing solutions.
  7. Assist in drafting briefing materials for INL leadership meetings.
  8. Draft and create a power point presentation on INL’s achievements in the gender sphere and work with INL management and PD to keep a check on social media coverage of INL projects. May also assist with summer transition process.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for intern:

Ideal candidate to join would have expertise in Microsoft Office, good organizing skills, strong research skills, and the ability to think out of the box. Preferable to have a law/pre-law student. Should work well with people from diverse backgrounds. Should be a quick learner, proactive, and team oriented. Creativity and a positive attitude.
